Why Pay So Much For The Weber Summit E420?
INTRODUCTION:
The Weber Summit E420 is Weber’s entry level gas grill in the prestige Summit range. The term “entry level” is used very loosely when describing this grill as it’s far superior to most grills on the market, but because it has a few less features than it’s other Summit brothers, we refer to it as the entry level Summit. This grill does however still have some awesome features and provide the highest level of performance as a result of the brilliant quality materials and construction, irrespective of which model in the range you buy. The most significant differences between the grills in the Summit range include extra burners, different grate sizes, additional lighting, sear burners and some models even have a built in rotisserie system.
CONSTRUCTION:
Construction is first class quality, extremely robust and from materials that have been tested against extreme weather conditions. For further strength and stability Weber use as few fasteners as possible and the maximum number of welds. The porcelain-enameled shroud with polished handle and trim has a very useful centre mounted thermometer allowing you to know the grill’s exact temperature at all times. This porcelain-enameled coating is baked on at +/- 1500°F ensuring the finish is fused to the steel which will prevent burn off and rust through for many years. The shrouds end caps are from cast-aluminium and accent-colored that makes it visually appealing.
Color wise the Summit E420 is available in black (also stainless – refer Summit S420) and in two gas options – Natural Gas or Liquid Propane. The controls are front mounted and on the LP model you even have a very easy to read backlit LED scale display so that you will always be aware of how much fuel you have left. The cart is enclosed at the back for storing your unsightly gas tank out of sight. Corresponding painted steel doors, chrome plated cast-aluminium handles with accent painted rear and side panels ensures a professional finish is achieved. The knobs and handles will last for years to come as Weber only use the best-grade heat and weather resistant materials on these parts. Here is a detailed list on the construction of the Weber E420:

FEATURES:
The features of the Weber E420 is even more impressive than the construction and reeks of quality. The grill has 4 heavy walled, high quality stainless steel burners that will give you a total of 48,000 BTU-per-hour-input. These burners all fire up conveniently and hassle free with Weber’s Snap-Jet Individual burner ignition system. There is a 12,000 BTU-per-hour input flush-mounted side burner allowing for multi-tasking such as preparing side dishes like sauces.The primary cooking area is a 3/8 inch or 9.5mm diameter stainless steel rod grate measuring a whopping 538 sq. inches. Extensive testing by Weber ensures the grate will heat evenly with no hot or cold spots. The primary cooking area combined with the warming rack of 112 sq. inches, will give you a total cooking area of 650 sq. inches.
The Flavorizer® bars are angled exactly right to direct juices down and away from the burners, ensuring no flare-ups and flavor-enhancing smoke. The Summit range (including the E420) also has a handle light which turns on automatically when the lid is raised. This model does however not have the Tuck-Away™ rotisserie system with flip-up motor that some of the other grills in the Summit range has. Here is a detailed list of the Weber E420 features:

CONCLUSION
The Weber Summit E420 Gas Grill is a high quality and well thought out premier range “entry level” grill. Entry Level is probably not the best description to use when describing this grill, but in the Summit range that is exactly what it is. Entry Level in the Summit range or not, the E420 is certainly still upper class compared to most other grills. The exceptional quality construction and materials, fantastic features, reliability, brilliant heat distribution, stylish good looks and the fact that you know the grill has been weather tested and can therefore withstand the elements for many a year, certainly makes this grill well worth it’s price tag!

Actually, the F version is the proper way in the Phils. The P is used for spelling out "The Philippines" but not generally for the people. They are Filipinos or Filipinas.
I guess it's who you talk to and who they think the premier band is. Just seems to me that they are to metal what the Beatles were to rock in general. Just like many people think of Led Zeppelin as metal but I think of them as hard rock, not at all metal but definitely an influence. Semantics.
